After more than two years the CAPA Americas Aviation & LCCs Summit returned as an in-person event in 2022. Hosted by Puerto Rico Tourism Company, the event took place in the Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve on 25th & 26th May 2022 in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

Industry leaders as well as the region’s travel community from North America, Latin America and the Caribbean came together and were joined by aviation technology and distribution innovators, global aviation experts and local regulators. They reviewed the key operational and commercial topics that mostly affect airports and airlines in the Americas.

Focus of the two-day CAPA Americas Summit

As the Americas guide the way of passenger traffic recovery, the key focus was to find the best solutions for navigating in these news situations. This included best practices of how to implement safety and health programs so that tourists and travelers – national and international – feel safe again.

Also, sustainability & decarbonization have been a key topic. The global pandemic had caused a brief and great turmoil. Therefore, the industry needed to continue transforming its long-term outlook. Some insights for the key markets have been presented by industry thought leaders and global aviation experts.

As an attendee you were able to listen to interesting interviews and panels as well as get clear-sighted analysis on air transport analysis.
